Indiana’s Fifth Congressional District is located in the north-central part of the state. It includes all or parts of Blackford, Boone, Grant, Hamilton, Howard, Madison, Marion and Tipton counties. It includes the north side of Indianapolis as well as the cities of Marion, Carmel, Anderson, Elwood, Noblesville and parts of Kokomo.
The district is predominantly white and is the wealthiest congressional district in Indiana, per median income.The district is currently represented by Republican Susan Brooks. On June 14, 2019, Brooks announced that she would not run for reelection in 2020.
