tV & WEb production service

We aim to produce in-person, virtual, and TV studio-based issue-focused interactive forums easily accessible to Hoosiers.

Indiana Town Halls (ITH) is a start-up nonpartisan nonprofit whose mission is to empower citizen engagement in democracy through interactive civic dialogue between and among inclusive groups of Hoosiers, their candidates, and elected representatives. Our vision is to provide Hoosier communities with a mobile TV/web production service; an interactive web platform tailored for citizen/politician dialogue; and an event management support unit - all designed to make civic engagement central to Hoosier political culture and to help revitalize Hoosier democracy.

We are searching for philanthropic venture capital and civic leadership to scale up statewide. To get started, we propose convening a collaborative “civic engagement task force” to produce a strategic plan and implementation plan that leads to the production of dozens of town halls annually within the next few years. This private sector task force would build upon the K-12-oriented 2020 Indiana Civic Education Task Force, chaired by Lt. Governor Suzanne Crouch, sponsored by the Indiana Bar Foundation, and funded by Lumina Foundation.
